After living in LA for nearly 20 years, Sheryl Crow, Grammy-winning artist, was finally ready to move back to her native place along with her two sons. She says it’s a very private place, and that is the key point to her. The extra land offered her plenty of space to build a barn that includes a recording studio, part saloon, and part horse barn. It also has a church. This fantastic place also offers ample space to display her antique collection, well antique things are something she loves a lot.
In the House
After living a few years in LA, Sheryl packed her bags and moved to Nashville in 2012 with her sons. The main attraction of the property is an English manor-like home built back in 2005. It has wood panels, beautiful beams, and multiple fireplaces that make it the perfect backdrop for her antique collection.
Collections
Being an avid antique collector, Sheryl’s collection is full of antique books, vintage boxes, and of course, 9 Grammys!
Living room
Sheryl has always liked horses and riding boots, and that is definitely what we realize after seeing her living room. Her living room is full of horse stuff, and her pillows are horse themed, she has horse antique there. Everything in her living room is themed on horses. Once you see it, you know this girl crazy about horses.
Her house also has a Piano room, and she is a cowboy boots collector too. She says, at one time, she owned nearly 200 pairs, but now she had auctioned some of them for charity.
The Church
Her home also features a church. Before that, she tried to buy an old Zion church in rural Tennessee. But this time, Sheryl built her church in her house. The church is decorated with her collection of vintage suitcases, oil portraits, and religious statues.
The Barn
Her house also features a barn. Here, this barn was in the designing stage, she had initially planned to have a simple writing room, but once the room was soundproof, it became her studio. Her barn also includes a saloon, and the barn’s walls are filled with her amazing collection of antique pieces. She has also used this place as a gathering place, and many fund-raising events have happened in the barn.
In the barn studio, she had recorded her last two albums, 100 miles from Memphis, and Feels Like Home.
The Chapel
Her home also features a chapel which is constructed with the help of Jim Mullowney of Mullowney General Contractors. It’s built with a mix of reclaimed and new materials. She created a chapel with an idea of having just a quiet and sacred place to gather. Now, it has become her ideal place to relax and read or enjoy the silence.
Sheryl Crow’s Nashville House is truly a dream space that features everything from a studio to a church. It’s a gem of a property that she has created.
